Wireless devices are increasing day by day. So many reasons to limit the speed
of the device is required. But many do not know how to do it. Today, I tried to
show it. I hope after reading this article you
can easily configure your router Speed Limit /bandwidth. Let's see
how it goes.
Step 1- First, go to the router admin page.192.168.0.1 is usually
the router IP.
I 'am using the TP-Link Router, yours may be different.
Step 2- Now we have to add and permanent one IP with the Mac address ID of that
device which you want to limit the speed. To do this at first connect your
device to your Wi-Fi network.
Step 3- Now go to the router DHCP Client List. Here you will see the
device including the MAC and IP address. If you do not recognize Mac ID
from here then you can check the Mac ID from your device.
Step 4- Now, go to the Address Reservation. Click on Add New. Look like
the following.
MAC Address : Give here the MAC Address of your device.
Reserved IP Address: Give here the IP address.
Status: Enable it and Just Reboot the router once. Now IP address is permanent.
Now we will see how to easily configure your router Speed Limit /
bandwidth.
Step 5- At first go to Bandwidth Control and Save the data as per the
image below.
I input 512 kbps. If you have the enough bandwidth you can set as
per your needs.
It's done..That's it its' configured.
